My husband (Grahame Crouch) also has family from Bodiam and had and uncle Frank who we think was something to do with the Church in the Hastings area. Thomas James Crouch b.(?)1851 is his father. Thomas James jnr (husbands grandad) moved to Maidstone area with the army.

Any connection? Would be happy to share any information I have.
