I am looking for information on George Walker Smith (b: 24 Aug 1869, Blue Springs, NE d: 28 Aug 1921, Burlington, KS), or his wife Emma Crouch (b: 25 Mar 1879, Adel, IA d: 5-Jun 1913)or any of their descendants. Family legend has it that my grandmother, Bertha May Smith was adopted by George and Emma. The birth date, I have for Bertha is 11 May 1913, Strong City, KS, which could be an adoption date instead.
