Matilda Crouch m 6 Oct 1818 Harrison Co.KY ? John Signer/Siguer of MD. She is listed as dau of John Crouch and Nancy Grayson of NC. This info. was found in the Ancestral File at the FHL. I know sometimes the information is incorrect & wondered if this family could have been from Harrison, VA prior to removing to KY and IN.
Children of John and Martha are: Felix W.; Nancy; Matilda; Catherine; Sarah Ellen; John Crouch; Mary Jane; William Cornett. Some were born in IN and some in KY.
Indiana marr. records show John Crouch Signor and Mary Jane Signor as marrying 1844 in Ripley, Ind. to Sarah O'Neal and Geo. W. Nicholson.
I am searching for proof of John Signor's place of birth and parentage. Perhaps someone is connected to this line and has some new data. Appreciate any response.
