Can anyone help? I am researching the Barnes
family of Pope County and the following connections
have surfaced:
A James Barnes m. Nettie Crouch. James was born
in 1884 during a family move to CO. The family returned
after the father Wm Franklin Barnes died of T.B.
the father is buried in CO. Sallie Barnes Story was
Jame's sister who lived in Hector, AR.
The mother of James Barnes was Eliza Jane Brown.
Also, the Brown line is connected as follows:
Eliza's mother was Nancy Jane Woods, her mother
Sarah Shipman. Her first husband was a Reed,
she had two children, Reed died and then she married a Crouch. She would have died as Sarah
Crouch.
It has been difficult obtaining info on the Barnes lines.
