My maternal grandfather and great grandfather both lived in Washington Arkansas in the mid 1800s. The town is now a state historical park and my great grandfather's house has been restored to its original condition. Both father and son were named AUGUSTUS (GUS) CROUCH. In the late 1800s they moved to Hope Arkansas where they are buried. I do know they were originally from Georgia but little more. Eatonton Georgia was once mentioned in family conversation years ago. I can't remember in what manner, however. The younger Augustus was my ther's father and was killed in a cotton gin accident in 1904. My mom will be 100 on September 11th and has her own apartment here in Mountain View, California. I am trying to trace the families Georgia roots. My great grandfather was a jeweler in Washington and a bugler in the Civil War. Washington was the last capitol of the Conferacy before the war ended. It wasn't touched by Union troops. I would appreciate anything you might have to offer. If I learn anymore I will add it to this site if it does belong here. JIM WYATT
