William Doris Crouch was born 6 Aug. 1867, maybe in Sand Mountain, Al., d. 9 March 1900. He is buried in Old Line Cem., Hodges, Franklin Co., Al. He was a Lawyer. He married Cynthia L. Downs, 14 Oct. 1880, Pulaski, Giles County, Tn., dau. of Jimmy and Nancy Ann Hurd Downs. She was born 18 Feb. 1865, d. 10 Aug. 1948, buried in Williams/Davis cemetery, Franklin Co., Al. Their children were: William; John [my husband's grandfather]; Perlie; Arthur; Ollie; Jessie; and Jerry. They lived in the area of Atwood and Vina, Franklin Co., Al. Synthia married 2nd, Eleck Davis, had four children; 3rd. Rev. E.A. Hogarth in Winter Garden, Fl.
Who was William Doris' parents. I am not sure about William's birth place.
