With lots of help we have traced our CROUCH
line back to John CROUCH born about 1750 in Virginia or North Carolina. John died June
1791 in Edgefield District, South Carolina. Our direct CROUCH line resided in the Saluda
area of South Carolina until my great grandmother Cornelia Matilda CROUCH and her
husband Harvey Monroe NORWOOD moved to Florida around the turn of the century. In the cemetery at Mayo, Lafayette Co., FL near Harvey Monroe NORWOOD and Cornelia Matilda, there is a Mamie CROUCH (b. 11 Dec 1868 / d. 1 sept. 1905) who married Thomas J. LONG (1862 - 1950)(second wife Alice PADGETT). Could be Cornelia's sister. Does anyone connect?
