Was just going over info this morning posted at Rootsweb.

It appears that the David Crouch who moved to Saratoga County, NY was the son of Thomas Frink Crouch.

Same David died in 1828 and is buried at Malta, Saratoga County.

The David Crouch I have in my files who was husband of Eleanor McKee later Mrs. Matthew Wiley died in 1818 apparently at town of Western in Oneida County.

Eleanor McKee and David Crouch were married at Pittstown in Rensselaer County, NYS, in January 1785....and must have moved from there at some point to Oneida County. He must have been born at least 1765 or earlier to have been married in 1785. The "other" David Crouch was born about 1772.

If all of this is correct, then I have no idea whose son "my" David Crouch was...and also, the information in the Crouch book regarding this particular David Crouch as researched by Marilyn Labbe would be incorrect.

Nora
