UPDATE: Recent work has led the EAST KENTUCKY WILLIAMS researchers to new Dettingen Parish Prince William County VA records on DANIEL WILLIAMS' father EDWARD WILLIAMS s/o WILLIAM WILLIAMS of Westmoreland County VA. There is also strong circumstantial evidence that EDWARD WILLIAMS was m. PRIOR to 1763 to JEMIMA CARTER d/o UNKNOWN CARTER & SARAH MUSE MUSE CARTER THORN WILSON of Dettingen Parish Prince William County VA...NOT JEMIMAH ANDERSON as has been previously claimed (unproven) for years. This new research has placed EDWARD WILLIAMS in Dettingen Parish Prince William County VA as late as 1776 before he removed to Boonesborough 1779 in what is now Kentucky. We believe EDWARD WILLIAMS was married to JEMIMAH PROB CARTER in Prince William County VA prior to the birth of their son DANIEL WILLIAMS in 1763 in PROB Prince William County VA.
