Does anyone know what the SOURCE was for the father of Eleanor McKee being Joseph McKee in the publication the Crouch's 1627-1998, which was researched and compiled by Eleanor Crouch & Marilyn Labbe?

Eleanor McKee was born about 1763-1768 in the U.S. and died sometime between 1861 and 1871 (a very elderly lady) in Camden East, Lennox and Addington County, Ontario, Canada. In 1861 Eleanor was living with her daughter Julia Crouch Keech and son in law John Keech who were also from Oneida County. Eleanor's first husband was David Crouch who died in 1818 @ town of Western in Oneida County; she then married Matthew Wiley.

Have recently learned that Eleanor McKee had at least 2 brothers- Nathan and Stewart who changed their surnames from McKee to Kees. The Kees-Keese-Keyes-Keyes families of town of Western in Oneida County were actually McKee's!

Thanks from Nora
