Thought I would mention my KY CROUCHES because they have the same names of the parents of your John. We will probably run across eachother's paths again in our searches.
My ggrandparents:
Benjamin CROUCH b.1869 KY
Mary E. ? CROUCH b.1870
They are on the 1910 census for Washington Co,KY with 8 of their 9 children.
I will keep your Benjamin & Mary CROUCH in my files, please do the same w/mine.
