John Crouch Civil War Iroquois, Ill

I am trying to research a John Crouch from Iroquois, Ill This is all I know. He served and Died in the Civil War. He was married a day before he left and never had children. His wife remarried. His Wife was my ggrandmother's Aunt.(My GGGrandmother was Nellie Chaney Hamilton of Iroquois,IL) All I have is a photo of the couple with "Mr & Mrs John Crouch of Iroquois", her wedding band and, this story. Any and all info would be helpfull.
