Isaac Crouch and Polly (Mary) Lear were married 6 Sept 1814 in Todd Co. Isaac was killed in the War of 1812 on 8 Jan 1815. IF they had a child - the child would have been born in 1815. Polly Crouch seems to have an 1812 Pension file "Old War IF 12806". Would this pension file state if she had a son. She had not remarried by 1840 and was still in Todd Co. Her father Conrad Lear in his ninties was living with her in 1830. Mary Crouch is on the 1830 and 1840 census of Todd Co. In 1851 she is still using the name Mary Crouch on Conrad Lears pension but she has not been located on the 1850 census.

John Crouch married an Ann Shuffle 28 Mar. 1819 Todd Co. She may have been the daughter of Ephraim Sheffield. Nancy Shuffle (Sheffield) married Geroge Lear a son of Conrad Lear. John Crouch does not have any sons listed on the 1820 census in Todd Co. But Charles Crouch has several young males in his house in 1820 Todd Co. Did Charle Crouch leave a will?
