Dear Marie
We may be related. I'm stuck on our Croteau lineage about 1828 in Penetanguishene, Ont. Charles sr. and 2 adult sons-Charles jr. and Jean Baptiste( a voyageur) were listed among the Drummond Islanders who were resettled there.Jean Baptiste was married? to Marie Delaronde and had several children baptised at Oka Mission, Quebec in 1827.I am trying to find their Quebec home town and hope that someone has gone thru parish records and spotted them. I don't know where to start.Jean Baptiste could have been born as early as 1776 or even earlier and was probably much older than his wife-he may even been a peer of her father who was a fur trader. Do you have parishes for your lineage?By the way, we just came back from France and visited Veules des Roses!!
Helen
