Terry, I think you are looking for Alice Croteau Born in roughly 1902 in Fitchburg, MA. She had many brothers and sisters. The dates listed are estimated and this is NOT a complete list. She was one of 9 (or 10) siblings. I believe one of the siblings died young which makes the number hard to pin down. Here is a list of siblings that I have:
Delia (born 1885)
Apolinaire (b. 1889) MY Great-grandfather
Alfred (b. 1893 in MA & died in 1921)
Obiline (b. 1895)
Mary-J. (or Mary-Louise) (b. 1897)
Wilfred (b. 1906 in MA)
When I looked further into this, I found their parents, Michel Croteau born in about 1847 (who could not read or write & spoke only French) who was married to Adeline Geurin, born in 1863. He was a carpenter. I may have the spelling wrong on the last name. Both parents and most of the children were born in Canada.
I actually have a picture of most of the family. However, I cannot find out any further lineage beyond Michel. I have a few guesses as to who his siblings & parents might be, but as of right now I have found no ties.
If anyone else has info on Michel Croteau, it would be MUCH appreciated!!
