My husband's family came from Queen's County, Ireland to Westmorland County, New Brunswick, Canada in 1851. The family came about the time of the potato famine.

John married Elizabeth in Ireland about 1822. John was born about 1795 in Ireland and died in April 1866 in Westmorland County, New Brunswick, Canada. Elizabeth was born about 1801 in Ireland and died before 1861 in New Brunswick, Canada. This couple had the following children...

William b. abt. 1854 in Ireland & d. after 1882 in Canada

Thomas b. abt. 1826 in Ireland & d. after 1881 in Canada

John Jr. b. abt. 1831 in Ireland & d. after March 1881 in Canada. He married Florence Nicoles in March 1881 and had a son, John R. Crosthwaite in 1881 in New Brunswick, Canada.

Richard b. abt. 1835 in Ireland & d. 23 Feb. 1864 in Canada

Samuel b. abt. 1837 in Ireland & d. May 1912 in CT. He married Catherine Fawcett and they had 11 children...Maria, Emily, Richard, John, Alice, Lillian, Bertha, Percy (husband's grandfather), John, Robert & Catherine

Elizabeth b. abt. 1840 in Ireland & d. abt. 1921 in Canada. Never married.

Robert b. abt. 1843 in Ireland & d. abt. 1904 in Canada.

Alexander b. abt. 1844 in Ireland & d. Feb. 1852, not long after their arrival in New Brunswick, Canada.

Would love to hear from anyone who might have more information on this family. Especially looking for ancestors from Ireland that might be connected to this family.

Thank you in advance.

Charlene Crosthwaite
