Well, there were not very many Crossmans around at all. In spite of
that here is a noteworthy coincidence.
1)Norton,Bristol,Ma has an Asa Crossman born 1769, and an Asa Crossman-
Anna Simmons marriage 1794.
2)Starting in 1794, the births of 5 children are recorded in Shutesbury Ma to
Asa and Anna Crossman.
There is a death notice in NEHGR Apr 1860 p183, for an Asa Crossman of
Shutesbury,age 90.
The name (very unusual) coincidences are enough to suggest that the people
in (1,2, & 3) are the same, even though Shutesbury is a LONG way from
Norton. Perhaps Shutesbury has a Town History?
