Have a look at this : http://www.familychest.co.uk/FamilyChestDocs/documents/0502120.htm

It is a link to a photograph of a lease document dated 1784 in which John Sutcliffe is selling property in Mansfield to Luke Crossley.

The property consists of two messuages, with two cottages, belonging to the same, at Eastwood in Mansfield, known by the names of Lewis Pighill or Lower Birks and High Coats.

There are also sixteen closes of arable meadow or pasture ground (more or less).

PEOPLE:
John Sutcliffe of Lewis Pighill, otherwise Lower Birks in Mansfield, Yorkshire. Yeoman.
Luke Crossley of Chief House otherwise Great House in Mansfield, Yorkshire. Gentleman.
