I have just returned from Staveley, Kendal, Cumbria and would like to know if anyone has information on my grandfather, Michael Crossley. He was married to Ethel Bateman, a sister of George Bateman who lived in Staveley. I believe my grandfather died as a result of a motorbike accident when my father Alban was about six years old. The year he died may have been around 1930. My father died at 59 years of age, so I have not much history on the Crossley side of the family.
