Hi Peter,

Many thanks for your reply, you are quite right, I have heard of a Crossley Hall it is near Bradford and also an area which is still marked on large scale maps which is actually called Crossley this is to the north of Mirfield and Ravensthorp as you say.

The one thing that has got me confused though is that the other manor rolls owned by this family all seem to be around what is now modern day Leeds.
