Hmmph,though said to be linked to the Carpet Crossleys, I can't make/ see the link either.

My Crossleys are not far away in Thornhill. My Elizabeth Crossley b.14 March 1866 Thornhill, d.Dewsbury, december 1937.She married John George Peace in 1886 at Ravensthorpe, Dewbury. She was dau of Samuel Crossley and Sarah Scargill, both born and died in/near Thornhill.Elizabeth had three sisters Alice b. 1860 and Rachel b.1864 and Caroline b after 1881, and three bothers George b.'70;Rowland b. 72; and Samuelb.'76. Most of the men were miners as was Samuel who was b. about 1806 and married Susan/ah). Though there were also some Weavers, and other parts of the family owned
stock in a mill in Batley.
