Vicki, this probably isn't going to be of any help to you but I'm curious about your John Crossland who married Amelia Howell.Do you know if he was John Sr.?
The John Crossland I am interested in was born in 1856 or about that date.In the 1880 Upper Tyrone Twp. Fayette, PA census, my John was 24 yrs old and married to Molly Crossland who was 28.They had two sons, George age 3 and Eddy J. age 1. In the 1910 census John seems to be married to a Mary L. (which may still be "Molly").They seem to have added a daughter, named Anne who was born about 1986.Does any of this fit in with your John Crossland? My interest actually is in John's wife "Molly" parents names.I know she had a sister who was named Anna Eicher so I'm assuming "Molly"s maiden name was Eicher.Anyway, just thought it was worth
telling you about.
