These names just came into my research today, so I'm a bit confused still.
I am wondering if anyone has the name LaCroix that changed it to Cross. and if so who, why, where, when.
I thought that LaCroix was a French name. The person in question is suppose to have been born in Poland.????
Why was he in Poland.
I'm particulary interested in any Cross/LaCroix that may have immigrated and settled somewhere around Salem MA.
(Lynnfield, Peabody, Lynn, etc)
Associated names: Kotarski, Paquin(Perkins) Burass(Burrows)
My uncle was Dr Alexander Kotarski born in MA, but his parents were both born in Poland. and I'm trying to trace his ancestry. Louis Kotarski was his father that I know, but rest I'm not completely sure of.
Thank you for any help. I know this is a long shot, but you never know unless you ask do you?
