Can you believe - 2009!! The end of last year was so busy with holidays and a new grandson, that I've only recently been able to follow up on the information you provided. Unfortunately he's not our William Cross. I did find that my ggrandmother, A. Casalonia 'Cassie' Richey, was first married to Hampton S. Sanders (Jan. 1871), they had a son, Hamp E., who must have stayed with the father when they divorced since he isn't in any later census records. I found that Cassie 'Sanders' and Will Cross married in 1878, Falls Co., TX. The hunt continues!!
