My g-grandmother was Mattie May Cross Ellis.
I think she was born around 1881 in TN. She
was living in Pemiscot Co., MO in 1900. Her father's
birthplace is listed as TN and her mother's birthplace is
listed as Mississippi. She married William Ellis in 1897
in Dunklin Co., MO.. She died giving birth to twins in
1905. The twins also died. She had two daughters previous to this (India and Minnie). My father thought
that Mattie May Cross' mother's maiden name was Allbright.
Do any of these names sound familier to anyone? I don't
have her parents' names. I'm hoping someone has her listed
in their Cross family tree. Cross was her maiden name.
I appreciate any help.
