I live in Surrey but I understand that William (my great grandfather) and Helen lived in Reading (Berks), Cheltenham (Glos), Salisbury and Weymouth (Dorset) but he and Helen probably both came from Kirkudbright originally. William was a master draper. I understand that Banns of Marriage were read in Kells and Salibury by August 1889 but don't know when the marriage took place. William and Helen had 4 children, one of whom was my grandfather Donald. Does any of this 'ring a bell'?
