Thank you Judy for your reply. A visit to my CROOM GENEALOGY web site will reveal a graphic of the CROOM COAT of ARMS. Many people have copies.

My late father and mother made at least a half dozen trips to Ireland searching vainly for information that would tie the CROOM families of VA, NC and beyond to Ireland and more specifically to County Limerick. As much as I would like to believe it, and after years of searching, I have found no written evidence supporting the allegations that Daniel CROOM living in Kent and Gouchland counties in Virginia in the late 1600s and who died in 1735 in Goochland was descended from CROOM ancestors in Ireland.
