Wow - after reading this thread I realize that somehow our families must be intertwined.

Do you have any records of a male Crooks marrying a Mary McGahey prior to 1832? She was the daughter of Alexander McGahey - who died in 1832 and the executor of his will was Capt. James Parks. Capt. Parks, I believe was the father of Alexander McGahey's daughter in law, Rachel Parks McGahey, wife of Robert McGahey.

Alexander was the father to Samuel, John, Robert and Mary McGahey.

Robert McGahey's second wife was Lucy Rennison, who I beleiev was sister to John Rennison Jr.. John Rennison Jr. was married to Sarah Gilleland April 29 1819 by Rev Abraham Boyd in Middlesex.

I am descended through Robert McGahey's marriage to Rachel Parks. Let me know if you have any idea how this all fits in.
