Hi there,

I have reason to believe that my Crookes family originated in Sheffield, but need some assistance.

My earliest recorded Crookes is John Crookes born 1778 in Hatfield, married to Hannah.

they had 4 sons, John, Thomas, George, William and a daughter named Elizabeth.

In the 1841 census, the family had moved to Finningley, Doncaster, England.

Do you happen to have anything on them in your files??

Dave Stott
