My great grandfather's name was shadrack crook. He as maried to a girl named Mary. Their son, my grandfather's name was Joe Franklin Crook. I have been trying forever it seems like, to go back any further. My uncle told me my grandfather had at least two brohers, and I know he had one sister named Polly Ann. These people all lived in what was then Smith County in the Buffalo Valley area. When the county lines changed, even though they didn't move, they began to showon the Putnam County records. I'm still looking. I just recently found out that my Grandfather Joe had been married to a Rein Russell before he married my Grandmother Mamie. Rein died when she was 21. I don't know if there were any children.
