I wonder if your Ephraim could be related, as a brother or cousin, to my Absalom Crook/Crooke b. ca 1744 <VA> but his daughter Cassandra was born in St. Mary's Co., MD abt 1770. According to what I have found Absaloms father was John, his grandfather was James, his great grandfather was John Crook I. Hope this will help you some. However, none of this is gospel except what I have found myself on Absalom Crooke and that was his will which is in Madison Co., KY.
