I am looking for any info on Thomas J. Crook, who may have been b. 1839 and m. 10-2-1866, in Buncombe to Emaline Manerva Cockram, daughter of Swain & Lois Cockram, from the Avery's Creek area of Buncombe. They had at least 7 known children: Julia, b. 1868; James, b.1871; Sallie, b. 1874; Lois, b. 1875; Mary and Martha (twins), b. 1876; and Buena/Bernice?, b. 1877. I know his father was John Crook, who lived also in this area. Any info on these families would be appreciated. Thanks!
