If so my Great Great Grandfather, McIntosh Hill served under him. McIntosh Hill evidentally had much respect for his commanding officer. After he was discharged (or musterd out) he named his son George Crook Hill, born 6 Oct 1868. I would like to know if your book has any mention of McIntosh Hill?
