I have traced the crook line up to a James Crook. Beginning with my grandpa Ivery William Crook to his dad Ernest Crook to his Dad W.S. "Buster" Crook to his dad G.M. "Matt" Crook to a James Crook but thats where I get stuck at Im not sure if James Crook is James Andrew Crook or James B. Crook they all come from Lauderdale, TN. If anyone has a connection with this line I would be excited to find out. This tracing my family history has been amazing and humbling experience and im only half way there.
