John Crooke was the first surveyor of Richmond, Madison County, Kentucky. He was married to Anna Doggett/Daggett Reeves. He is buried in a place called Crookesville, KY. That place no longer exists but there is a Crookesville Road in Madison County. I plan on going over there to do some research soon and the cemetery is right close to the Eastern KY University where they also have, from what I've been told, a good genealogy library. Will post what I find after I am able to go there.
