To Arleta Galloway, re Gen George Crook, I can trace my Crook line to George Crook of Dinwitte Co Va about 1650 - 60 and there is evidence of an earlier Crook, George's father, of King George Co Va in 1630. My family is full of Solomons and Georges. After the American Revolution,in the 1780s 4 Crook brothers moved out of Virgina, 3 to S Carolina and 1 to Penn. The brother who moved North was lost track of by our line of the family. Could Gen Crook be decended from the Crook brother who moved North? Does your book mention any of this?
