Looking for info on William Crooks, b.1776,d.1859. Son of Thomas Crooks who was from Hadden, Connecticut. I can Place William in the 1810 census for the town of Ossian, which is located in Alleghany county, southwestern New York state. In 1810 William was married and had 4 children under 10 yrs. old. I have lots of info on his father Thomas, and his son Thomas, but nothing except this census hit on William. He doesn't show on any other census forms before or after 1810 in Alleghany Co. Any info about William would be much appreciated.
