Caroline's maiden name was Dustin. She was married to Asa Crook. I am a direct descendant of her as well, Asa & Caroline's daughter Mary to be exact. Mary married my ggggranfather, David Vader.
Caroline, you & I are descendants of Hannah and Thomas Dustin. There has been much research done by others on Hannah Dustin, who is famous for escaping from a band of Indians in 1697 by killing & scalping them in their sleep. They had taken her from her home and killed her newborn daughter. The scalps were to prove her deed. You may want to contact the Duston-Dustin Family Association of Haverhill, Mass. which is where she lived at the time.I did have an opportunity to travel to Haverhill last year and visit Hannah's statue commemorating her bravery as well as the museum and graveyard where many Dustins are buried.
You are welcome to contact me though I am new at this research and rather disorganized.
