Jacob Crook - B 1811, PA
Posted by: Sandra Date: March 04, 2002 at 16:35:18
  of 1821

Jacob Crook was born in PA in 1811 & died before 1877, probably in Kansas. He married Eliza Ann Dooley (Deulea) Aug 11, 1844 in Henry Co., IN. The 1850 census had Jacob & Eliza living in Germantown, Wayne Co, IN with two children, William, 3 & Jacob, 11 mths. In 1856 they are in the Iowa State Census living in Boonesboro with one child, Jacob, age 7. An uncle claimed the family was "Pennsylvania Dutch" which leads me to wonder if a change in the spelling of the surname may have occurred.
Does this ring a bell with anyone? I would dearly love to break down this BIG brick wall!
