This is a copy of the information I posted on the Hilbert family page. I wonder if ther is a connection here since Rollo's middle name is Henry? Where is Ashburton? I was wondering if anyone had any information on George Steven Hilbert 1871-1950. He married Affrieete V. Crook (Crook from a first marriage) She was born 1866 died 1958. They had a daughter together named Helen Ruth Hilbert in 1907 and she died in 1934. Affrieete had two children from her first marriage to a fellow with the last name Crook. The children were given the use of Hilbert as there last name from their step dad George and their names became Hazel Crook Hilbert, 1890-1905 and Rollo Henry Crook Hilbert 1892-1931. Rollo is my husband's grandfather. I guess that really makes us Crooks (ha ha) But we are the Hilbert family. So if anyone has any information at all it would be great. By the way all of the passed on relatives are buried in the same area in the same grave yard in Brea, California
