Jacobus was born in NY, not Holland. His parents were Theunis Krankheyt and Annetje Van Tassell. Theunis was in turn the son of Henrick Theuniszen Krankheyt and Anneken (Antje) Banckert. Hendrick was the son of Teunis Herckse (aka Krankheyt) and Sophia Hendrickse (aka Wiltsie). Teunis was the son of Herck Syboutszen and Wyntje Theunis. Herck and Wyntje were the original immigrants in this line and were married in New Netherlands on Nov. 16, 1642. Herck never assumed the surname Krankheyt, but his three sons who left heirs did. They were Sybout (Sibert, Sibout, etc), Theunis (Teunis, etc) and Jan (John). Just an FYI. Vickie Peterson
