Hi Everyone,
Does anyone recognize this CRONE family? Rhoda CRONE was my 2nd great-grandfather Samuel REYNOLDS's first wife and her sister Mary CRONE was my friend Jerry Cornell's great-grandmother. All we know is that they came from somewhere in Ohio and the census says William was born in Virginia. They settled in Rossville, Vermilion County, Illinois about 1857.
William CRONE; m. Sarah Copeland; b. circa 1813 Virginia; d. 1890 Rossville, Vermilion, Illinois.
Children of William Crone and Sarah Copeland were:
i.Rhoda CRONE; b. 24 Feb 1839 Ohio; m. Samuel Reynolds, son of William Reynolds and Jemima Mead, 12 Jul 1857 Vermilion, Illinois; d. 16 Mar 1862 Rossville, Vermilion, Illinois, at age 23.
ii.Mary CRONE; b. 6 May 1846 Ohio; m. James Cornell, son of Edward Cornell and Alice Cann, 18 Mar 1866 Rossville, Vermilion, Illinois; d. 11 Oct 1935 Rossville, Vermilion, Illinois, at age 89.
iii.Jane CRONE; b. circa 1849.
iv.Anne CRONE; b. circa 1855.
v.Simon CRONE; b. circa 1857.
vi.Samuel CRONE; b. Jun 1860.
