I did not have a birth year for Peter, so thanks for adding that! In my database, I noticed an immigration year of 1853 for Peter from Germany (no specifics, though). Thought that might be the clue you need.

The rest of the children of William & Mary Anna Clara are: Emma, who married Phillip Rhine; Mary, who married Peter Rohr; Catherine; and William. I didn't have any birth years listed but will review my notes again. I'll keep you posted!
