There was a George Crone in Van Buren Co. Cadron Twp. Ark. 1860 Census #268.
Crone, George 50 m. S.C. Farmer $1600,.00 $590.00
Crone, Nancy wife 45 Tn.
" Henry 20 m. Ala.
" James 18 m. Ala.
" Elizabeth 15 f. Ala.
" John 12 m. Ala.
" George 10 m. Ala.
" Nancy 7 f. Ark.
" Jacob 5 m Ark.
" George 23 m. Ala farm laborer
" Catherine 60 f. Va.

We have notes to the effect that Nancy was sister to Henry and Minerva Goodman who also lived in Van Buren Co. Ark., in fact we believe Henry and Nancy were twins (the next census, 1870 Nancy is shown as head of house and she states her place of birth was Va., same as Henry Goodman). We can see by the place of birth of the children of George and Nancy Crone that they were in Ala. during the 1850 Census but we cannot locate them in Ala. Could they be connected to your Crones?

Charlene
