Hi Marshall. Thanks for your reply. I know your Umphrey Crone has got to be related to my family. I just don't know how yet. But I am very interested to find out. The name "Umphrey" runs all through my Crone family line. I strongly suspect that your Umphrey's grandfather was Allen Crone who apparently lived in Collin County, TX, around 1870. Although I have found no proof as yet, there is oral family history that my great grandfather, Franklin Madison Crone, had a brother named Allen Jackson Crone. My great grandfather's mother was named Celia Victoria Posey, and her father was named Umphrey Posey. That's apparently where the name Umphrey has been handed down from. I am going to keep digging to find a connection and will get back to you. If you get any more information, let me know. Keep in touch.
