Cromptons of Lancashire England

I have recently began researching my family tree. The furthest back I can go so far is to Jonathon Crompton (b 1788) All I know is that he married Jane and had at least 4 sons.
Edward, Robert, John(b 1819), and James(b 1820).
If anyone has come across Jonathon (or his brother Thomas (b1785) please let me know.

All of my family were born in Lancashire but I believe their descendants are now scattered about the globe.
I hope someone can help
