Hi.I'm helping a local historical foundation put together a book.I think one of the town's earliest teachers was one of the Franklin County Cromers. If any of this rings a bell with you, I'd like to hear...
Family information here has it that William W. Cromer was born in 1869 in Franklin Co., just before the group left to come here to Tarrant County, Texas about 1870.His father was Louis/Lewis Cromer, b. 1842.Lewis's parents were Martin Cromer and Mrs. Frances
Jamison Cromer, whose first husband, Middleton Jamison, drowned in 1845.After Frances and Martin had a few kids, she was remarried to a Mr. Webb. She died in 1886 and is buried here not far from where I live.
Kids from both her first two marriages...Jimeson and Cromer...wound up here, too.Any of this sound familiar?
Thanks for your time and attention.Mike Patterson, Colleyville, TX
