Hi Joanne
It has been a long time, nice to hear from you again. I hadn't heard anything about how the first Cromarties came to be on Holy Island. It doesn't seem to ring true as I was to believe that it was only William who arrived on the island.(Unless it was just William who was sent packing from the Black Isle) He married Jean on Holy Island when Jeans mother died in 1724 and they lived with Jeans father, John. But thats all I know of that time. I have not had time to do any more research lately but will be getting back to it asap.:) Please keep me posted if you hear anything else. regards Ian
