Hi Sandra, My Ggrandmother's name was Margaret Belle Crom, b. Nov 5, 1875 born in Iowa. Her father was Gilbert Crom, b. Dec. 31, 1847. I found Gilbert and Elizabeth(my gggrandparents) in Fabius Twp, Davis Co. IA. in the 1880 census. Gilbert was born in Ohio, his parents were from Maryland (father) and South Carolina(mother). He was 32 years old at the time. There was also a Hannah Crom in this census, she was also born in Ohio, father born in Maryland but mother was born in Ohio. She had a brother listed living with her by the name of John Virmillion. She was 55 in 1880, brother John was 38. And I think Coatsville, Mo is in either Schyler or Putman Co. It's right on the IA-MO boarder, I can go there but not sure how to tell where it is.
