Hmmm, Im sort of trying to trace my family history, and I do believe somewhere in it there was a sea captain. I'm not sure if his surname was crofts though. I'm heading to the library in the next week or two to see if I can find more. But my grandfather apparently was a sea captain and he sailed a ship called the San Serra (or something like that) out here to New Zealand maybe about 1880 - dunno - actually I have no idea - but dad said they use to call him wire whikers as he had a long white beard..... (???) God knows!!!!
